Paid positions:
Part Time Administrative Assistant
The Center for Arabic Culture is looking to hire an administrative assistant. The candidate must have a deep interest in the nonprofit world and Arabic Culture. The administrative assistant will work on project based duties to implement CAC programs and events and to expand its presence and mission in the community.
Under the oversight of the Executive Director, the program assistant will assist in the following:
1 - Communication and community outreach.
2 - CAC weekly email newsletter.
3 - Communications regarding plans on CAC after school programs, and cultural events.
5 - Update the CAC outreach database, design event flyers, and share evaluation surveys.
6 - Schedule daily social media posts about our programs and events
7 - Be present at CAC major events such as the annual festival.
8 - Support the CAC summer camp logistics and communications. :
Hours:
Between 4 to 6 hours per week. $25/ hour
Requirements:
BA degree.
Fluent in English (reading and writing)
Excellent communication skills
A team player in addition to their ability to work independently.
Creative with excellent organizational skills.
This is an hourly based position but there is room for growth.

Arabic Language Teacher at CAC After School Program
The Center for Arabic Culture (CAC) is looking to hire an Arabic Language teacher to teach at the CAC After school program at Boston Public Schools.
We are seeking to hire a teacher to teach In person Arabic as a second language (ASL)
And has experience and passion for motivating students, and is willing to commit to our school standards.
Time: 3 days per week from between 4:30 to 6:00 pm in Boston MA.
Classroom Duties Include:
Teach students between K to 4th grade.
Follow the CAC school curriculum with an ability to enrich it.
Build creative activities to engage the students with the language and culture.
Required Education:
BA in Arabic language or 3-year or more experience in teaching Arabic language.
Native in Arabic language and fluent in English.
Experience working on a computer and creating activities, files and slides on google drive.
Professional Qualifications:
Has an experience working with students and families from diverse backgrounds
Comfortable working in a team-teaching atmosphere.
Experience in creating, enriching, and engaging a rigorous learning experience to support students' success.
Has a desire and ability to build relationships with students, tutors, and parents quickly and easily.
Sense of humor and positive attitude are absolutely critical.
Salary: $45/hour.
Start date: December 1, 2024

Floating Arabic Language Teacher
We are seeking to hire a floating teacher to teach In person Arabic as a second language (ASL) has experience and passion for motivating students, and is willing to commit to our school standards.
This is a floating teacher position this Spring 2025 but might turn into a permanent position when we open new classes next fall 2025.
Classroom hours are Sundays from 1:30- 3:00 pm and/or 3:30 pm- 5:00 pm, following the CAC school calendar.
Classroom Duties Include:
Teach students of different age groups.
Follow the CAC school curriculum with an ability to enrich it and create in-class activities.
Communicate with parents about students’ performance in class.
Send homework each week.
Keep track of students’ work during the year to provide a credible assessment about each student's yearly performance.
Required Education:
BA in Education and/or 3-year experience in teaching Arabic language.
Native in Arabic language and fluent in English.
Experience working on a computer and creating activities, files and slides on google drive.
Professional Qualifications:
Has an experience working with students and families from diverse backgrounds
Comfortable working in a team-teaching atmosphere.
Experience in creating, enriching, and engaging a rigorous learning experience to support students' success.
