Yvette Easton is a Sophomore in high school. She is very passionate about languages; she takes Latin & French in school, and has been learning Arabic here at CAC since she was 7 years old. Her High Honor Roll performance in school reflects her hardworking and determined personality as an intern. Over the summer, she helped create engaging activities to further enhance the Online Arabic Summer Workshop curriculum. Yvette holds a large interest in using her language skills to connect with people from Arab countries, and advocate for refugees and human rights.
Fun facts: Yvette is on the varsity volleyball and tennis team at Westwood High, and enjoys playing the piano in her free time. Her favorite Arabic song is (Atini Naya Wa Ghanni) by Fairouz. She also loves to read, travel, and roll grape leaves (Warak Dawali) with her family :).
