Marie Tricoli

Marie Tricoli was born in Paris, France and moved to Boston when she was 20. She will graduate in December with an International Relation degree from Suffolk University, Boston. She is a passionate civil rights activist, and more specifically Women Rights.

Her grandfather gave her his passion for the Arabic culture since she was a little girl. But it was later that she really realized she wanted to learn more about this culture. She began studying it in Rome, Italy during her semester abroad.

She interned for the Consulate General of France in Boston last January for 5 months, as an attache press assistant. She also spent last summer at the French American Chamber of Commerce in Boston as an intern. In January she will go for an exciting adventure in Morocco as a volunteer for 6 months. She will work for the TILDAT organization, which helps women and girls who faced violence to reintegrate in their social, economic and professional lives.

Finally, she is applying for a Master's degree in London at the School of African Studies, London School of Economics and King’s College. She will study Human Rights, Conflict and International Security with a minor in Middle-East Studies. In the meantime, for her last semester in Boston, she spends her time interning at the CAC to help
organize and promote their events.
