CAC Online Speaker Series

Part of its efforts to build a well informed community and hold exciting and crucial discussions, over monthly online events, CAC is happy to welcome distinguished speakers to discuss cultural and social topics that matters to the community. Discussions will be live and participants will be asked to RSVP. Once registered, participants will receive a link to access the lecture online.

Our guest speaker is: Dr. Mawya Shocair,MD, FACP, FNKF

 Saturday April 25, 2020 @ 2:00- 3:30 pm

Dr. Shocair will be discussing: “the relationship between the body and the mind and the role of hypnosis in health and disease.”

Dr. Mawya Shocair, MD, FACP, FNKF: a Nephrologist Renal Division at Newton Wellesley hospital. She is the Medical Director at the Dialysis Center in Waltham. Dr. Shocair was the Past President of Massachusetts Medical Society/ Charles River district. She is the Chair/ Advisory Board of National Kidney Foundation/ New England chapter.

During the talk on April 24, Dr. Shocair will be speaking and discussing the role of hypnotherapy in certain disease entities , relaxation, biofeedback and as a tool to treat certain addictions.
