6th Annual Arab Cultural Month and Festival

CAC is pleased to invite you to its 6th Annual Arab Cultural Month and Festival!

We will end the Cultural Month with a big Celebration at the CAC Annual Arab Spring Festival on May 18, 2019 at the Arts at the Armory Hall in Somerville, MA.

Cultural Month Schedule:

  • Sunday April 14 Youth Identity Art Workshop with artist Joy Geha in collaboration with Story Night Organization
    12 pm to 4 pm at CAC Headquarter 191 Highland Ave. 6B Somerville, MA 02143

Saturday April 27, The Center for Arabic Culture Proudly Presents:

Basel Zayed at a music workshop
The art of Arabic and Middle Eastern melodic improvisation (Al-Taqaseem)

All instrumentalists and singers are welcome and no prior knowledge of Arabic and Middle Eastern music is necessary.

  • Wednesday May 1 – Book Reading from German author Pierre Jarawan
    Pierre Jarawan reads from his novel The Storyteller at Porter Square Books. This brand new release follows protagonist Samir as he leaves the safety and comfort of his family’s adopted home, Germany, for volatile Beirut in an attempt to find his missing father.
